Rescue Rocket the Lurcher

Rocket is a three-year-old Lurcher who lives up to his name as he is always ready to take off on an adventure.

He is full of life and super fast in everything he does, so he will need owners who are happy to keep up with him, but he is also happy to entertain himself with plenty of toys to play with.

A particular love of Rocket’s life is food so when it comes to training, if you have a tasty treat to hand he is an enthusiastic pupil!

Rocket is a very friendly boy and loves to be around his two-legged friends, so he is looking for a home where people are around most of the day. He likes to keep his brain busy so in his new home his owners will need to give him things to keep him occupied, such as food searches and games, when it’s time for him to have some time on his own.

As a Lurcher Rocket understandably has a high prey drive so he is being muzzle trained by staff, which is going really well.

The team say Rocket makes them smile every day with his clownish antics and will be a lovely addition to a family. He can live with children 16 years and over.

If you could Change the Tale for Rocket by giving him his forever home, find out more about him by calling 01926 569236, or go to www.dogstrust.org.uk. Whilst Dogs Trust Kenilworth is not open for public browsing, since the start of lockdown new processes have been put in place to adopt a dog, which include a virtual matching service and socially distanced appointments to help keep everyone safe.

Dogs Trust estimates that up to 40,000 more dogs could be at risk of abandonment in the fallout of the coronavirus crisis. Please help Change the Tale for these dogs and help Dogs Trust continue to be there for more dogs and their owners when they need us most. Please give what you can by visiting www.dogstrust.org.uk.

Could you help Rocket soar off to a new home?
